Pecha Kucha Night Vol #2 - Sustain and Create!

SCCA Team - Monday, March 01, 2010

How do passionate people talk about their work in Shanghai, Stuttgart, Santiago, Seoul, Sydney, Stockholm, San Francisco, Salzburg, Sofia, St Petersburg and over 260 other locations including the SUNSHINE COAST?  Through Pecha Kucha Night - a great format for the creative talent on the Sunshine Coast to see and be seen. We are about to host our second event, with a specific focus on environmental and cultural life with the theme being 'Create/Sustain'.

Pecha Kucha is a global phenomenon now seen in over 280 cities. Beginning in Toyko in 2003, this renowned design presentation format (20 slides, 20 seconds per slide) was devised by Tokyo based architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham. Pecha Kucha, pronounced pe-chak-cha, provides a relaxed forum for artists, designers, entrepreneurs, environmentalists and others to present and showcase their work, skills and ideas and share what they’re passionate about.  It is patented to keep the presentations inspiring, interesting and to the point. The Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance, accredited as official hosts for Pecha Kucha Night, are the first regional centre in Australia to host the event.  The March event, the second on the coast, will be co-hosted by the Community Cultural Board of the Noosa Biosphere.  We have a fantastic line up of presenters including:
