The Sunshine Coast Regional Council's Community Grants and Regional Arts Development Fund Grants rounds are now open and applications should be submitted by March 15. Artists and creatives can apply for various kinds of grants depending on the nature of the proposal.
The Regional Arts Development Fund is administered through SCRC and applications close at the same time as the Community Grants. The following categories of individuals and organisations can apply for a RADF grant:
- Individual professional artists, artsworkers, cultural workers or project coordinators who:
. are based in the local council area, or if based outside the local council area are able to demonstrate how the project will directly benefit arts and culture in the local council area
. are permanent residents or Australian citizens
. have an Australian Business Number (ABN) - Incorporated cultural organisations based in the local council area, or those based outside the local council area that are able to demonstrate how the project will directly benefit arts and culture in the local council area.
- Unincorporated organisations, auspiced by an incorporated body, that are based in the local council area, or those based outside the local council area that are able to demonstrate how the project will directly benefit arts and culture in the local government area.
- Professional artists must complete and submit the checklist for professional artists
Information sessions have been held this week but application clinics are coming up soon. RADF application clinics will be held at Nambour, Noosa, Caloundra and Coolum from the 2nd March. Potential applicants can give themselves the best chance of success by making a booking to meet with Council's RADF Liaison Officer and, together, work through their draft application.
