AGM Outcomes and plans for 2011

SCCA Team - Monday, December 20, 2010

The Peregian Beach hotel was the venue for our final catalyst club for the year and AGM on December 8.  Around 30 people joined us for the evening and enjoyed the food, the company and chatting about different people's ideas and plans for 2011. Councillor Lew Brennan joined us and reaffirmed his support for building and supporting the creative and knowledge industries in our region.   More >>

AGM & General Meeting

SCCA Team - Wednesday, December 01, 2010

It's that time of the year - yes AGM time... but we're having it after our last Catalyst Club for the year so it will still be a good night out! Being a non-profit association is worthwhile and to keep going we need to elect our committee for the year, and make some changes to our constitution.  These changes are mainly about taking our constitution back to a state more similar to the standard one.  At the start of the Creative Alliance history the set up was quite different to now, with separate project groups emerging from the Noosa Creative Alliance program.  This had also led to the creation of the role of an Independent Chair in addition to that of a President.  The need for these two different roles no longer exists so we propose going back to a standard association structure.   More >>

Catalyst Club & AGM

SCCA Team - Tuesday, November 09, 2010

We look forward to seeing lots of folk at our final Catalyst Club for the year at Peregian Beach Hotel on Wed 8 December (click here for the flyer and details).  It's also time to celebrate and share your plans for 2011.  So we're inviting you to bring along something like a program for 2011, a brochure, card or 'small' example of your work. It's also AGM time and so we need members to stay on for a while!  We'll try to keep it short and sweet, as we also need to make a few changes to the constitution (to reflect how the organisation actually works now we've been operating for 18 months).  We welcome new blood onto the committee, so if you are thinking you might like to get more involved next year please consider nominating.  If you'd like to chat to us about it first email us and we can call you to discuss in.   More >>
