PKN #3 Make Your Mark

SCCA Team - Wednesday, June 23, 2010

Our next Pecha Kucha Night is moving to beautiful downtown Nambour on Tuesday July 27 and will be hosted by the fabulous Annie Gaffney.  The theme is "Make Your Mark" and we'll be hearing from people who'll talk about this in relation to their work, their hobbies, their passions and their ideas.  The theme can be interpreted in many ways, perhaps you're someone who believes we should leave this place without making our mark and we'd like to hear about that too.  The format is the usual 20 slides x 20 seconds each with live commentary or performance! If you're interested in presenting, send us an email... preferrably by the end of June.   More >>

Call goes out for Pecha Kucha Night Vol #2

SCCA Team - Thursday, January 14, 2010

Create and sustain -  that’s the theme for creatives to reflect on as they share their work at our next Pecha Kucha Night on Tuesday March 23, 2010.  This event will provide an opportunity for artists, designers, entrepreneurs, environmentalists and others to discuss what they’re passionate about, but only for 6 minutes and 40 seconds.  That’s the challenge of presenting in the Pecha Kucha format using 20 slides, each shown for 20 seconds.

Our first coastal Pecha Kucha Night was held in October 2009 and included presenters such as Bark Design , tea cosy queen Loani Prior, furniture designer Ross Annels, Gubbi Gubbi artist Lyndon Davis, musician Kate Gibson and graphic designer Taty Hindes.  An audience of around 70 gathered to share in the creative exchange and we hope for an even bigger turn out this time with the event co-hosted by the community cultural board of the Noosa Biosphere More >>
